Monster Cable PowerNet 300 Powerline Network Adapter 121623 Powerline Network Adapters
This review is from : Monster PowerNet 300 Power Line Network Module with Clean Power
Fast easy to use great for anything networkable PS3 Blue-ray TV computer... . I loved my network-able Blue-ray player I purchased, but I hated the wireless adapter which left me always praying my Netflix or U-tube content would actually play. Same with my networkable TV, I'd always lose the radio or the news. My PS3 online gaming was a joke wirelessly. I dreaded running a network cable from my livingroom into my bedroom. Such a downer for such great products.
However, I found this little device and AMAZINGLY everything works flawlessly! It's literally plug and play. High-speed networking that's virtually wireless!!! You need one on your router end to plug "wire" a Cat5/ethernet cable into and one for wherever you want to have a "wired" connection for your equipment. You use a Cat5/ethernet cable to "wire" your components into the Monster PowerNet which is plugged into the wall. No cables between rooms, only between your router to PowerNet which plugs into the outlet and one from your components to the PowerNet 200 or 300.
You may have to reset your components from wireless to wired, but after that, it just works! NO more jagged netflix, waiting for info to load, missed songs or slow online gaming. It actually downloads the best quality off netflix. I'm really happy with this. I'm used to wiring and setting up computers, home theatre, and complicated set-ups. I was really amazed at how easy it was.
Good luck and buy it! It really is worth it if you use networkable products, or even if you have a wireless deadspot in your home. I'm glad I found this because it's much cheaper than running network cables through my home which was going to run me ($3,000-$4,500).
BTW the difference between the PowerNet 300 and PowerNet 200 is the PowerNet 300 allows for more than one component (4 ethernet ports) in a room. The PowerNet 200 has only one ethernet connection. The PowerNet 200 & 300 also gives you some surge protection & line conditioning (clean power filtering) which erases some of the "buzz/noise" or interference in your walls to give a faster connection.

Monster PowerNet 300 Power Line Network Module with Clean Power Reviews
Hard device to keep in sync . I purchased 3 of the powernet 300's, thinking I would have the answer to all my streaming problems because I really like streaming in HDX. The "orange" light keeps coming on after I have meticulously and sucessfully paired them together. The orange light indicates substandard signal. Yet, when I wire directly from my Clear modem the speed is consistly between 6MBS -10MBS. Somewhere, the signal keeps dropping. These devices are tedious to keep in sync. When you call for support, be prepared to stay online from 30 minutes to an hour just to speak to a representative. It is almost impossible to figure if you have a faulty box or just not configuring your system correctly. For all the difficulty these boxes should be half the price. Maybe then, I wouldn't be so disappointed by all the time I have to put in just to get them to function correctly.

Monster PowerNet 300 Power Line Network Module with Clean Power Opinions
Worked like a charm . I was attempting to connect two TVs to the internet. One TV was fairly close and the second TV was on another floor. First I got two PowerNet 300s and connected one to the router and one to the second TV, the one farthest away from the router. That worked quite well. Then I realized the signal was not sufficient to connect the TV on the same floor as the router. So, I ended up ordering a third PowerNet for that TV. Now it all works like a charm.

Good Speed and Connectivity but Difficulties with Complex Networks . I purchased this device, along with a Monster PowerNet 200 Powerline Network Module with Clean Power, in order to extend my apartment network. Previously, I was having difficulty running these devices on my 802.11g network because the airwaves in my building are pretty heavily saturated, so I tried these devices as a solution.
The physical layer of the Power Line Ethernet works fine and gets me more speed and stability from my PS3/Xbox360 entertainment center--both are able to do multiplayer gaming and Netflix at speeds far exceeding what they were experiencing with 802.11g. The problem, unfortunately, occurred when I tried to install my Cisco-Linksys WAP54G Wireless-G Access Point on the PowerNet network.
First, a word on my network topology. I have my primary Internet access running from an ADSL modem in my computer room, and going to the PowerNet 300. My computer itself is hooked up to the Power Net 300, along with my network attached storage system. In the living room, the Power Net 200 bridges into my WAP, which also contains switched ports to which the XBox 360 and PS3 are connected.
The problem is that, since the Power Net 300 has to plug in to the WAN port of the WAP, my wireless-connected laptops are connected to a separate subnet from the rest of my network, which the WAP treats as the "internet". So while I can establish a connection FROM my wireless equipment TO the NAS, I can't go the other way.
This is really an interoperability problem and not the Power Net devices' fault, and I suspect that it could be fixed using the correct hardware (I am going to experiment with the switched ports on the WRT54 and will post a solution here if I find one), but it is something to keep in mind if you plan on setting up a complex home network.

Monster Powernet 300 . The product is made of quality materials. It is as easy as plug-and-play, and it brings Internet to the rooms that are difficult to reach wirelessly. It is Also 5 times faster than wifi if I recall correctly. I highly recommend!
MonsterPower Net First Look . I have not had an opportunity to test the throughput extensively but the system is very easy to set up and operate. It seems to be a great improvement over my Wi-Fi which I was using at the outer ends of the signal and much easier and more reliable than a signal booster. I have the modem on one floor and the MasterPowers on two other floors and the other end of the house. I will be back later if there is any significant change in the assessment of the product.
Monster PowerNet 300 . High praise for Monster for a quality product. Product description states that download speed is lower than ethernet cable; however, my conmputer's download speed test shows same download speed as hard line. Fantastic!
Connectivity . Plugged one unit in wall outlet then ran ethernet cables to new Blue ray player and AV reciever. Next plugged another unit in wall near computer/intenet equipment and ran ethernet cable from unit to router/modem. Turned on recevier/BD player and was connected. Wow-no way did I want to try and run cables from my office area to the living room where tv etc was hooked up. Thought I would try this and it worked great. Got the 300's rather than the 200's because of the additional ethernet ports.
Great Product . I have always wanted to be able to have high speed in my home which is two stories and none of the wifi extenders ever worked. All I had to do with the powerNet was plug and play. I have my TV, wifi blu ray and Xbox plugged in and all work flawlessly.
Cons Review
Monster PowerNet 200 Powerline Network Adapter Starter Kit . I tried this for a month and then returned it to Monster. The problem is that the unit initially worked as set up from upstairs bedroom where the internet router is and I wanted to get ethernet connection in basement. If you read the reviews and the marketing literature this should be no problem, when you get the installation instructions there are a number of limitations. The device runs pretty warm and the reason form my return is that it stopped working and I could not get it to run even six feet apart. I am going to try another brand to see if it works any better. Customer service at Monster actually was great! Sorry that my Network adapter was not as good as Monsters" customer service.
