More Than Satisfied . While searching for a powerful router and/or extended wireless network, I came across the Amped Wireless website. In an email with the site they mentioned they were releasing the R10000 router within a month, so I waited. I am glad I did. It's a simple and small device that I was able to set up in minutes, much faster and easier than any big-name routers. After set up, I connected my iPod Touch and wandered the neighborhood looking for where I would lose the first bar. Luckily, I am friends with my neighbors because I found the first signal loss in their backyard, across the street. From opening the box, I was amazed at how well this router works on every level. I've not only recommended to friends and family, I've bragged extensively to them about it.

super easy to set up works like a charm directions very clear . Our broadband connection is an office separated from our house by about 100 feet. Never been able to get wifi in the house before. Did some research and bought the Amped Wireless high power smart router (wireless n 600 mw) and the high power smart repeater (wireless n 600 mw). The router got wifi throughout the house, from 3 bars to 5 bars on my Kindle Fire. With the addition of the repeater, we now have 5 bars of wifi everywhere in the house. The set up for both took me less than an hour - and I've never touched a router before, nor am I especially techie. The setup instructions were very clear and setup was easy. Very happy with the purchase.

Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-N 600mW Amplified Router (R10000) Opinions
A strong option for hard to reach places . I purchased this router as a replacement for my previous D-Link DIR-655 router. The D-Link router worked as advertised but the thick plaster walls in my apartment meant the use of a repeater was necessary to receive functional wireless signal across the premises. Repeaters in my opinion are a recipe for trouble as they introduce yet another component into the mix.The Amped Wireless R10000 definitely has a stronger signal than the D-Link and covers a significantly greater portion of my apartment. It has effectively eliminated my need for a repeater which in turn makes the stability of my wireless network greater. I have tested it with a variety of devices and wireless cards (Acer netbook, iPad2, MSI dualnet pci card, and an Amped Wireless UA600 usb wireless adapter) and can confirm that the router's receive sensitivity is greater than the D-Link as well.I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it is an improvement, but not a panacea. The main areas of my home are now covered with a connection fast and stable enough to watch shows on hulu, youtube, etc. However, certain lesser used areas of my home cannot stream video and are barely fast enough for loading a basic webpage. Moreover, the router only uses the 2.4GHz spectrum and does not provide the final degree of wireless speed that other 802.11n routers may. This was not a concern of mine as I was simply looking for a stable wireless connection first and foremost. I would recommend this product to anyone who's current router isn't quite covering the area they need.For a point of comparison. I live in a densely populated area in a major United States' city in a mid-rise building where all my neighbors have wireless access points too.

Good performance service and range . Purchased this not too long ago and have been using it for over a week now. i must say i now enjoy wifi all over my house and my yard. great investment. you get what you pay for. The packaging it came in was also top notch. Nice instructions made it easy to install and it also includes a really handy android app for setting up your wrieless network and checking for dead spots. very good quality.i did hit a snag when i was installing it where my modem wasn't clearing its old data. made a quick call to support and they were wonderful. very knowledgeable and easy to understand. got me running in 2 minutes. Good product, with good range and good service. no complaints! Price was a bit higher but you get what you pay for.
Great router with really good range . My previous router died on me last week so I was shopping for a new one. Came across this one and took a chance. I normally dont buy brands I dont trust but the range claims were hard to resist given the siZe of my home. I must say I'm a very happy customer and will buy Amped products in the future. Setup of this router was easy and the wizard looked very nice too. The range is literally 3 times that of my old one and I have wifi throughout the home an yard. Great product and great service!Will update again later on reliability when it gets older. So far so good though. 5 stars!!
Cons Review
The great range claims are true but router has too many problems . I purchased the R1000 because I have four client machines in a separate building that need wireless connectivity. I took a chance on this unfamiliar brand since it claimed to have such great coverage and was initially impressed. The packaging was professional and Amped even provided two labeled Ethernet cables already plugged into the router. I went through the setup and it seemed very straight forward. The router pulled down a WAN IP address and I was on the internet. Another positive note, my Wifi Analyzer app showed a very strong signal in places that were previous dead spots. The claims of the range and max coverage increases were true. Unfortunately, that's where the positive notes end. Three client machines in the same room as the router would connect to the SSID and not be able to pull an IP address. I checked the router's DHCP and all seemed well. In fact, two other clients already were issued their IP's from the router. I manually set the three machine IP addresses to the correct network and that worked. It looked like all machines had access to the internet now....WRONG. Now one of the previously working machines lost connectivity. This was followed up with multiple dropped connections by various machines. I tried reconnecting, release/renew commands, restarts, going back to defaults/re-setting up, etc with no success. I even re-flashed the router firmware to the same (newest) version. Nothing helped the DHCP and dropped connection issues. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I have never had so many problems with a router. I gave this router two stars for the range alone. Its probably a great product if you get one without these issues.I returned the Amped router and bought an Asus RT-n56u for one building and an Asus RT-n53 for the second building. Switched the n53 to repeater mode and all my problems were solved. I've only had the two Asus routers for two days, but have not experienced a single issue (unlike the Amped router).
