Excellent! . I purchased this device for one of my clients with a large, plaster-lathe construction house. I was finding that just using extra gain antennas was not providing the coverage we needed. This wifi adapter just works...exactly as described! :) Although somewhat pricey, I would *absolutely* purchase this device again to take care of those "difficult" wireless configurations.

Great Product . We bought several wi-fi range enhancers before finding this one.
It is small but mighty. It finds the signal and continues to
provide a strong connection. The price is very reasonable and the
results are great.

Exceptional product at a great price . I had the old EUB362EXT which only worked with XP,bought the EUB9603H when I upgraded my laptop. I am using it on my boat with two USB extension cables (the product requires two USB ports on your computer, make sure you have them available)so as the antenna is up on deck while the computer stays inside the boat. I have no problem connecting to available networks and can even watch Netflix. Make sure the antenna stays dry as it is not waterproof. Great product in my opinion.

A definite improvement! . Installation was only slightly buggy. Each time a different signal is used you will need to double click on the desktop icon and select the signal desired. My home wifi is password protected so I need to dig out my acess code each time I return home after using a hotel or municipal wifi. Not a big deal.

Great for places like parks. . Although this wireless adaptor is geared toward use in problem areas in buildings, I have found that one of its best uses is in wi-fi hotspots. For instance, there is a park that I sometimes go to with a library right by it. If I just use the internal wireless adaptor in my laptop, I actually have to be quite close to the library to use their wifi. But with the EUB9603H, I can hang out at a picnic table a couple of hundred feet away without having to resort to my mobile broadband service! The same goes for using wi-fi 'on the run' in other places. For instance, if I park at a McDonalds, I pretty much have to be parked around the door (and in the middle of everything) if I simply use the built-in wireless card. But the EUB9603H makes most (if not all) of the parking lot of a typical McDonalds a hotspot! So I can park somewhere farther away and surf in peace.
Network Device . I found out from a friend that this device would expend a wireless internet and he was right. I have a 5G device and this item made it work well in the mountains. Although I bought it through Amazon for half the price it still works the same. Excellent product would recommend it to anyone.
Increased range . I needed an antenna that would pick up a signal at a greater range and Engenius solved my problem. And it is simple to use; plug it in and you're done.
EnGenius USB Adapter . Got it installed easy enough. Very strong signal but speed too slow for streaming video. I need to investigate to see if it is a set-up problem.
Cons Review
Not for XP SP3 latest drivers don't work . This product worked fine with the setup cd. Then windows would not shut down correctly, then would not start without a reboot from the Windows CD, then would not recognize the device. I have to say the support folks are in California and answered on first ring. He said the CD drivers had been updated to 1.1.6 and that I could download them. Downloading from Engenius Website is the wrong set of drivers, Googling for version 1.1.6 gets you to a product page with again the wrong set of drivers. Finally tried version 1.1.6_1 created on October 29, 2010, only one week from time of this writing, and they don't work. BIG WASTE OF TIME and now I have to deal with returning it. Engenius needs to clean up all the bad and outdated drivers littered throughout their website.
