GREAT PRODUCT WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! . I have had several of these from different makers and I find this one to be the best for the money. While others claim it is noisy, I can say this one is whisper quiet. I play mainly movies on mine from a 1TB external hard drive that plugs in the front of this unit (actually has 2 ports for 2 hard drives or memory at the same time). It plays 99% of my movies with no problem, while every once in a while some movies will not play the sound (I blame the source file, not the unit). It has some great options in the menu, my favorite option lets you view your show in Pan mode, Widescreen or Full no matter what the original source is recorded in.

Great Product! Very pleased . I've had this for several months now and it's been excellent! Plugs up to the tv as easy as a VCR. I download tv shows when I'm not home, sometimes whole seasons at the time, same with movies. This allows me to copy them to a thumb/flash drive or even my huge external hard drive and play anything movie,picture, or music related. I have no complaints

Great Product . We use this product often. It makes it very easy to play iso files. The unit is portable enough that we sometimes take it on vacations. My only complaint with the unit is that the remote control buttons are confusing.

A Snap To Set Up - Less than 3 min . Received this unit and was up and connected within 3 minutes literally. Transferring files via USB is fast, smooth and efficient. I have had no glitches or hiccups at all. It reads practically every type of file extension I can throw at it. My only complaint, is the UI. Theres no way to search alphabetically for a file. But really that's inconsequential in the whole scope of what I use it for. A GREAT PRODUCT. I have it connected via USB to a Western Digital 1TB external drive to a Samsung 40" LCD TV and it delivers crystal clear picture at 480p 720p an 1080p. Definitely worth every penny.
Incredible . I wanted to try one of these to watch YouTube videos or other downloads on my main television. I was worried I was making a mistake but this was a wonderful purchase. It was simple to install since you just plug it in. It can use an HDMI cable or RCA cables. It plays almost every format of video I can find and it is getting rare to find players that handle mkv and mov files. This one does and handles subtitles well. I could not be happier with it....until it broke.
During playback, it suddenly just stopped working about 6 months after I bought it. It was outside of the return time with Amazon and I could not find any information about warranty or methods to contact the manufacturer. I contacted Amazon in the hopes they could give me contact numbers or something but the first response from Amazon customer service was that a new one was on the way to me and I should just pack up the old one. WOW. So not only do I love the media player, I absolutely love that I bought it from Amazon and really appreciate their customer service.
My unit broke for an unknown reason. It might have been made on a bad day, it might have over heated, or who knows why but I still really like this player. When I read a review, the good things are nice to know but the bad things are even more important so I can know what I am accepting. I will be listing some bad things but please bear in mind that those bad things do not lower my opinion of the player at all.

Overall, I think this is a wonderful player and I think buying it from Amazon would be the best move.

Look at the forums for this product before purchase www.mediagateusa.com . Pros: This machine plays video, audio, and photos through your TV using all the different types of outputs described. It does what it says it will do and does it very well.
Conns: When it works. I have a flashing green power light. However feel free to purchase if you have an issue like this Amazon took GREAT! care of me.

Cons Review
Streaming video not so good!! . This system does not work well for streaming video. The software is bugy even with the firmware update. Works with the USB but bugy starting the video. Don't buy if you plan on streaming video. Good idea but don't work.
Nonexistent customer service from manufacturer . I loved the idea of this media player. But the issues made it impossible to keep it.
First, it took me several days to figure out how to hook up my network to this player - I was totally confused by the sharing of files in Windows 7. I attempted to email the company using the provided email address in the manual - my email bounced back. Maybe I inputted the email address wrong. Then I tried to email through the manufacturer website, and that bounced back also. Did internet research and read the forums on the website - which had some valuable information, but also alot of spam entries selling Viagra, etc. I finally got the player to recognize my files. Then I was able to use my player! But it froze up often. It took several reboots to work as intended - it wouldn't recognize my network, then it would. But then it wouldn't play my files - they were invalid. Reboot. Then it would play the files just the way it should. Tried to play another file - invalid or freeze up. It took an average of 4 reboots every time I tried to play something. Was there something wrong with this particular player, and should I just get another one? How would I know? I couldn't contact customer service. So, I returned it and ordered a WD Live Plus instead.
