Hawking Hi-Gain Outdoor HAO15SIP Antenna HAO15SIP Network Antennas (*)
This review is from : Hawking HiGain Omni Directional Outdoor 15dBi Antenna - HAO15SIP
Works. . Pricey but great build quality and mounting hardware. Does what it's supposed to. I've measured sizable signal increases throughout the network. I have it roof mounted which seems to be where these things work best. The only negative was that it comes with a lightning protector that is useless without buying another pricey cable. They could have simply included a short jumper to attach to outdoor radios. Hawking doesn't even sell a cable to do this under 10 feet long. You really only need about a foot if your radio is near the antenna.

The Perfect "Long Range" WiFi Solution . Hello,
I do all of the IT work for a very large RV park and we have had major problems with WiFi in the past, but I've got to tell you; ever since I installed this unit in the park our problems are now only a distant memory.
This pole mounted "Hawking HI Gain Omni Directional Outdoor 15dBi Antenna", along with the right router, are absolutely the right choice for any of your long range WiFi needs. I paired this unit up with the Engenius router (600MW Client Bridge/access Point), and set it up for a range of 2 kilometers. I set it at maximum power and I haven't had any problems bringing in a nearly full strength WiFi signal over a 1/4 mile away since. After I installed this unit I jumped in my car and logged on, I started an online movie and started driving. I was nearly a 1/2 mile away before the movie had to pause to rebuffer. In short; I strongly recommend this unit. Let me put it this way, after installing the first one we've since installed three more, "I love it". (And all for right around $200 in parts.) Thanks for reading and Enjoy!!

Cons Review
Still trying to get it to work. . I purchased this product to boost the signal from one building to another. I received the product and installed it. My son has a PSP so we used it to detect the signal and and found that the signal had actually dropped. I contacted Hawking who said it was a defective unit. Amazon replaced the item and I had the same results. I contacted Hawking again and they said it was my router. I purchased the recommended Hawking router and the signal was improved greatly, but I was told that I would need the special cable (another expense). Now I have the cable and the signal to my son's PSP is great to the next building where I had hoped to extend the signal. I have two computers there, so I went to log on to them and neither one can find that signal even though I place the antennae where my son's PSP picks up the signal. Now I have to buy Hawking brand receivers... What's next?
Very disappointing performance . I installed this antenna at a motel/cabin facility, and was INCREDIBLY disappointed in the performance (it was coupled with the 30-foot low-loss LMR400 cable from Hawking). it did not appreciably increase range over the 6.5dbi antenna that I had previously installed. This may have been a combination of differing elevations and building locations that affected performance, but this antenna is definitely not the panacea that I assumed it would be.
I'm pretty experienced with wireless installations and understand the mitigating factors that can kick in, but I've done far more complex installations of directional antennas that didn't suffer from use of long-lengths of LMR400. I can only surmise that the projection area of the antenna is not nearly as large vertically as I assumed it would be. Maybe it will work better for your situation, but it definitely did NOT have the performance that I would have expected.

this product blows . I had 2 of these and the matching router. My signal actually dropped using one of these. I think this is just snake oil in a big ugly stick. Tech support just kept telling me I had a defective unit. I think that's a load of bull.
