Plug and play . Literally unwrapped the two units, plugged them into two different power surge protectors in different rooms, connected the ethernet cables...and that was it. They have been operating flawlessly since then.

Professional Manufacturer's Most Excellent Product . Bought this device pair through Amazon and couldn't be happier. I'm an avid review reader, sometimes reviewer. One thing I've noticed is that there are often mixed reviews. I'm not suggesting that the negative reviewer failed to gain clues about the operation of these devices before plugging them in and getting them rolling with a magic word like, "presto!" The reason I know that one is that I regularly try it myself. I'm also one who would tinker for four hours (or more) to get it working. Fortunately, that wasn't the case. FIVE "grueling" Minutes (most in the walk between the living room and the office) I gave out of my life for what is now 4 months thus far of flawless operation.
This had to be the easiest install I have ever made on any electronic product. The Zinwell system works like a charm and is FAST as advertised for a relatively low price -- it's hard to do better. I'd recommend to anyone.
I'm amused by the comments on the electrical system setting up blockages. Oh well, Marconi, Farnsworth and Bell had similar problems in public perception of their world-changers. It would be a shame if the only negative review I have seen on this product would have prevented anyone from buying it. They've missed out on the best price on a very good product.

Very Easy To Install - Highly Recommended . These Zinwell "Powerline Ethernet Adapters" work well directly out of the box and, surprisingly, are compatible with other manufacture's "Powerline" products. Here are my observations:
+ Plug-and-Play; just plug them into AC outlets and attach the included Ethernet cables, one to your router and the other to your computer\BluRay\Roku\etc, and they create a connection (being rural, I'm using mine without encryption)
+ Good Range; we live in an old Victorian house (with updated wiring) and have no trouble working from the 1st floor to the 3rd
+ Good Speed; we are able to stream Netflix and Amazon On-Demand movies with no noticeable impact
+ Compatibility; these work with my existing Brite-View 200 Mbps Digital Home Powerline Ethernet Adapters included 1-port Bridge & 4-port Switch and Logitech Alert 750e Outdoor Master Security System with Night Vision
These just work and have solved major networking issues in my house, so I really don't have anything negative to say about them.
Note: To get the best performance, these really should be plugged directly to the AC outlet, not through a surge protector or UPS.

PowerLine Ethernet . This is great option to running Cat 5, if you can use them. The bridges need to be on the same electrical circuit. This may not be the case in large or renovated buildings. Otherwise, they can save many man-hours and expense.
Cons Review
Simple? I don't think so. . Others have said nice things about this little device, but I cannot find the combination of factors required to get data more than 15 feet over my power lines. The instructions are inscrutable. In truth, the device may not work at all with modern ground-fault protected circuits. It's all a huge secret...
If you have an extra four days to spend on a dead end, this is the device for you!
