Expand the number of available ports on your existing SuperSpeed USB 3.0 capable system. This USB 3.0 4-Port Hub supports the higher transfer rates of the new USB 3.0 specification. Its one upstream port and four downstream ports support not just SuperSpeed transfer (5Gbps), but are also backwards compatible with previous USB specifications and offer support for Hi-Speed (480Mbps), Full-Speed (12Mbps), and Low-Speed (1.5Mbps) traffic. SuperSpeed USB not only makes transferring HD video files, high pixel count digital photos, and backing up hard drives quick and easy, but also allows consumers to get the most out of the technology by expanding the capacity of PC systems.

yay! . There is typo on description that says 4-port... title/spec/picture is 2-port so people should know that is typo.It arrived about one week which was in range of my expectations. It came intentionally with wrong non-shipping retail box (laptop card box) with no structural support.
Flimsy box was slightly crushed but card itself is relatively solid, so shipper probably wanted to save money and take the risk on $6 card replacement if things go wrong.Installation:There was absolutely no manual or instructions lol.You have to go to USB3.0 NEC720200 directory and execute SETUP.EXE. It would have saved me 5-10 min if they included instruction.Device:It has 2 usb 3.0 port in back. There seems to be internal floppy power connector which seems to imply people should connect (no instruction).
I plugged in the card and forgot to connect the power connector but it is working fine with portable usb 3.0 hard drive.
Perhaps additional power is only needed if some usb 3.0 powered device that needs way more current than normal...Make sure you turn the power off AND unplug the power cable since modern desktop still have some residual power for things like remote waking or something.Performance:Copying between internal and external usb 2.0 port got around 20-30 MB/s for big GB size files
Copying between internal and external usb 3.0 port got around 72 MB/s for big GB size filesSo about 3x the performance and same performance as copying between internal drives.YAY!!!!This is the first hour impression.UPDATE:
Things got even better. usb 2.0 drive gets about 20mb/s read write on 2.0 port....on this port it gets about 30mb/s 50% improvement
usb 2.0 flash drive writes about same but reads with 10% improvement

Does What its supposed to . have it installed, must use cd included, box says for laptops, but we all know thats not true, anyway it has a floppy connector, i didnt use it. worked without it. but i didnt realize till after i got it working, but i plugged it in anyway, doesnt hurt. i plug my alfa network antenna and my hp deluxe webcam in there, both usb 2.0 but seems they have gain a boost from the 3.0

working!!! . first of all let me thank K. Nakasato for saving me the headache of finding drivers. I popped in the cd and there were gazillion drivers lol. I was lost for a second. Then i remembered reading your review when i made the purchase. Installed drivers from "USB3.0 NEC720200" and bam!!!! its working.
I was skeptical about a cheap 3.0 card, but so far its working great. Transferring 30gb file from internal to USB 3.0 and getting steady 77 MB/s . Can't complain.
So far happy with it :)
UPDATE (10/30/2011): Updated to the newest driver version 2.1.27.0. I installed it and works better than the ones provided on the cd (which were really old).

A bit confusing . I agree with above description. My piece also arrived in a crushed box with non-descriptive information. In fact,no where on the box does it say USB 3.0.It does have 2.0 on the back which adds to the mystery of whether it is truly 3.0.It does have a small sticker on the card that says 3.0,near the "Made in China"silkscreen.Haven't tried it yet as my Quad core PC is on the fritz and i'm not gonna put it in the loaner Sempron 3200+ as it may fry it! When I get mine up and running,I will give a full review.HDE 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express x1 Controller Card
Cons Review
Extremely generic and did not work . The card arrived in a beat-up box that indicated that the contents could be any of 9 different cards, none of which were a USB 3.0 card. There were absolutely no instructions or other documentation to even tell exactly what the card was. There was a small CD in the box, labeled "3.0 driver". The CD has four folders on it, each apparently containing drivers for different cards, but with no indication which driver was appropriate for the card I received. Thanks to a previous review of the product, I was able to determine that the driver I needed was the NEC720200; the other three drivers did not work with the card I had. However, the CD came with a deep scratch on it and I was unable to copy or execute setup.exe in the NEC720200 folder. The card does have a chip on it that is labelled "720200". I searched the internet and was unable to find a driver that seemed appropriate for this card.Furthermore, there is a connector for a four-conductor power cable (I believe it is called Molex). There was no cable with the card and my computer (a new Dell XPS-8300) had no power cable that would connect to it. It is not at all clear whether it is necessary to have extra power connected here or not. Some reviews indicate it is required, some that it is not, and some that it helps for connections to devices with a high power requirement through the USB port.Because I could not find a driver to work with the card, I requested to return it through Amazon's web site. The seller (BestDealUSA) immediately offered to just send me another unit at no cost, with no need to return the first one. However, a day later, they told me they were out of stock on it and they would refund my purchase amount. They did refund the purchase price; however, the time I wasted trying to make this work and research alternatives was considerable and unnecessary.
