Check your specs . Be sure that your ExpressCard is USB based before ordering. PCMCIA ExpressCard products, such as the Verizon wireless cards, won't work. I now gather (and others more technically oriented should feel free to chime in here) there are two different types of ExpressCards. Nothing in the Verizon literature makes that clear, but at least this product is well labelled - it just won't work with the other type of cards.
USB Based Expresscard Adapter Reviews
UPDATED - works with AT&T Option GT Ultra Express data card . I purchased this hoping it would work with the AT&T Option GT Ultra Express, and it does. My macbook has the express card port, but my work laptop an wife's only have the cardbus slot. Now with this adapter i can use this in older machines that dont have the express card slot.

Update 6/19: After using this a few times my express card started to lose its connectivity with the laptop. i cant really test if it was the laptop or the adapter itself, but i found it eventually unusable for my purposes.
USB Based Expresscard Adapter Opinions
Works with Verizon V640 . I bought this to use with a Verizon V640 ExpressCard 34 EVDO wireless broadband card. I did a lot of research and knew that there was a small chance it wouldn't work, since some ExpressCards are PCI-X and not USB based.

The V640 is USB based so this card works well with it. Used it all day today no complaints at all. Feels solidly built.

My computer is a Thinkpad T40 which is holding me over until I get a new computer maybe next year (I'm eyeing a MacBook Pro).
Works great . This little adapter will achieve up to your expectations, simple solutions are the best solutions everytime!
No nonsense no fuss. It just works. . I bought this adapter so that I could use my Lexar 8GB Expresscard SSD with my work Laptop (Toshiba Tecra M5). Plug it in, count to 10 and bang. It's there and it just works. Windows identifies it with no need for extra drivers or anything. File transfers click along at acceptable speeds with no issues at all.

Keep in mind that this adapter will stick out about an inch from the side of the laptop once fully inserted so if you're hoping to leave it in all the time you may be disappointed.
Works fine . I use it with my 16GB Lexar ExpressCard SSD, works just fine. Be careful, some ExpresCard devices use USB (which this adapter provides), and some don't.
Works perfectly! . I bought this because I got a PC Express Verizon wireless data card for my MacBook Pro that I also wanted to be able to use on my IBM ThinkPad, which only has regular PC Card slots. It worked like a charm; no hassle at all.

Cons Review
DId I get a Dud Unit? . Bought a used one from a marketplace seller. I use Vista Business 32bit. No driver was found by the OS and the adpater is not functional. It shows up as PCMCIA MTD-0002. According to SIIG website, driver for the adpater is built in for Vista. Contacting seller right now to resolve the issue.
SIIG web site did not provide a technical support number to call. Only a phone number for RMA requests.

Will update when I hearing back form the seller.
Was not detected by Verizon V740 ExpressCard on two Dell laptops . Attempted to use this adaptor on two Dell laptops, one fairly old (2-3yrs) and one new (<1 yr), with a Verizon V740 ExpressCard, which I believe is USB-based, and neither PC could detect the card while using this adaptor. Perhaps bad luck? Who knows?
