Expand the number of available ports on your existing SuperSpeed USB 3.0 capable system. This USB 3.0 4-Port Hub is internally built upon the VIA VL810 Hub Controller, which is the industry's first integrated single chip hub solution that supports the higher transfer rates of the new USB 3.0 specification. Its one upstream port and four downstream ports support not just SuperSpeed transfer (5Gbps), but are also backwards compatible with previous USB specifications and offer support for Hi-Speed (480Mbps), Full-Speed (12Mbps), and Low-Speed (1.5Mbps) traffic. SuperSpeed USB not only makes transferring HD video files, high pixel count digital photos, and backing up hard drives quick and easy, but VIA's new hub controller allows consumers to get the most out of the technology by expanding the capacity of PC systems. Along with power management features that include the ability for devices to communicate latency tolerance to the host and for links to enter progressively lower power states when link partners are idle, the VIA VL810 is unique in that it is the first USB hub controller to use advanced 80nm CMOS technology, further lowering the chip's power usage. Package Contents: USB 3.0 4-port Hub, Power Adapter, USB 3.0 Cable, and User Manual.

Revised Upward - Hub OK - USB 3.0 Issue with Dell? . [See 1/31/2011 update below]
First, I don't think the hub is at fault for this situation but read on before you decide to buy it.
My Dell XPS PC, running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit, is not consistently seeing my 4 external USB 3.0 Drives, connected via this hub. Drives may be accessible and then next time after coming back from "sleep" or boot-up they may NOT show up.
I thought it was a Western Digital drive issue (you can find mention of disappearing WD drives on the net) so I bought a Seagate USB 3.0 drive and the same thing happens. I replaced the Seagate 3.0 interface with USB 2.0 base (a neat feature of Seagate drives) and moved the drives to a USB 2.0 hub and they ALL appear all the time. I connected the WD drives to the 2.0 hub, too, which you can do because the cables allow it. I checked via Computer Management > Device Manager > USB Serial Bus Controllers list and the correct files/drivers for the USB 3.0 hub are showing up there according to docs that came with the hub. I even connected the WD 3.0 drive directly to my PC via an internal USB 3.0 controller (came with my first WD 3.0 drive) and still the drive may "go away" but it didn't seem as frequent.
So, anyway, I cannot fault the hub under review but until I figure out what's going on I cannot recommend it, either.
January 31, 2011 - Revised to 4 stars
I have to tell you that within a couple of hours of posting my initial review I had a message from a vendor of the product asking some questions and offering some advice. (How great is THAT!) I tried the suggestions, let it cook for a while and the hub worked fine. Repeat - NO PROBLEMS WITH THE HUB. I still have one drive that doesn't always connect but I have pretty well settled that it is a drive issue and not a hub issue. Further, another reply provided information that Dell is apparently working on a Superspeed (3.0) issue in their machines.
If I were sure that the issue lies with Dell and/or Western Digital I would go to 5 stars but until I'm sure, I just can't do that. Nonetheless, I think this hub is a great value and I will likely get another to use with another pc.

Cons Review
Drivers unstable . Bought this hub 11 months ago when there were only 2 options for usb 3.0 hub. It worked at first without much problem, but after recently upgrading laptop with built-in usb 3.0 port, the hub will not sustain a connection with my usb 3.0 western digital drives. After many hours, I have learned from others that the drivers are outdated. However, the company that manufactures this device "Good Way" is based in Taiwan and there is very limited customer support. So, I will be buying another hub from on of the more reputable U.S. companies. It may work for you, but I would suggest a company with good tech support since this is a new and evolving technology so updates will no doubt be needed in the future.
