Excellent . If you need an eSATA adapter, you won't go wrong with this card.
The card connects to a PCI-Express x1 slot. Make sure your computer has a bare slot available before you buy it.
The card provides two eSATA II ports and two 5V DC power output ports. Two DC power cables are provided in the package. No eSATA cables are provided.
The controller on the card is a Silicon Image 3132 chip. The card is advertised as compatible with Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS X 10.4 and above. Although not advertised, it is compatible with Linux as well. My computer OS is Linux Debian sarge, kernel version 2.6.18. After install the card and reboot the machine, the kernel immediately recognizes the card and load the driver. No configuration required.

I like this card so far . Fit and was recognized by Win7 Home Prem on my $1400 HP Desktop from Oct 2009. I get so so speeds from 90MB/s to 30MB/s. Depends on the file types and sizes I think. I use HD_Speed to test. The eSata gets 120MB/s and my internal SATA's get 90MB/s. I read about enabling AHCI in the bios so I did it but no real change in speed. The site I read about AHCI also said to dnld and install Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager(not sure if needed) as well. [...]I think the power cables need an internal power molex splice to use them, not included. My eSATA drive enclosure came with it's own power supply and the plug is different anyway. Also the 3rd PCIx1 slot needed to be set in bios as not for video. I paid $19 for this card at BestBuy Store, rats!

Surprisingly good . esata pcix card on a Mac. Have had problems finding a esata card for a peripheral hard drive enclosure, especially for OSX 10.6. However, found online a 10.6beta Mac driver and it works perfectly with my multiport 4 drive HD Icy Dock enclosure. Had had to return another because it was only good up to 10.5. And to top it off the Dynex is significantly cheaper! Couldn't ask for more.

No WIN7 Drivers . Don't know if the card works, no WIN7 drivers. Three stars because I don't know if it is good or bad. My fault on the drivers, didn't read the supported systems. Cost to much to return. I'll find someone with an older system and give it to them. I will update my review when they let me know how it is working for them.
Cons Review
Spend the extra $$$ and buy a better card . Tried using it on a Mac pro, it completely crashed my system and wouldn't reboot. All I got was kernel panics.... luckily I had Tech tool pro DVD.
This is NOT an eSATAp card!!! . This card is a fine eSATA card. It also has 5v ports for those needing to power 5v devices.
However this card does NOT provide an eSATAp port. For those that do not know, eSATAp ports have the power supplied on the same port as the eSATA data, thus the "p" at the end of the eSATAp name. This card does NOT provide any power in the manner specified by the eSATAp spec, and as a result will NOT power your eSATAp devices.
The manual that comes with it calls it a DX-ESATAP 2-port eSATA card. The DX-ESATAP name is very similar to the eSATAp I am looking for, but it is an accidental name similarity. The date on the card paperwork is 2009, and most of the eSATAp documentation I can find has 2010 and 2011 dates. Wikipedia states that as of 2011 eSATAp is still being defined (perhaps it is a draft standard?). So Dynex (best buy) accidentally named this card in a manner to cause confusion with people like me looking for an eSATAp card. Oops!
