New Pantech Verizon UML290 4G LTE USB Modem Aircard - Turn Your Computer Into a Mobile Powerhouse!
aircard . it came fast and in working condition. i had a follow up from the sender and overall i was very happy with both the service and the product.

It will work. . This does not come with the Verizon VZ Manager Software CD. You will need to install the VZ Manager Software before you can use the product. If the modem is going to be your primary access to downloading the Verizon operating software, (ie no internet connection for your computer in your area), you have trouble. Our son is in the military in the Continental United States. We planned to give him the modem to be connected to friends and family because he is in an area where there is no wireless. I tried saving the operating software from Verizon's site to both a flash drive and to a writeable DVD. Neither would load the program onto my computer. I assume that it would not work for our son either. I also tried to download the software directly onto my home computer and it would not load. I have Google searched for other options and looked for places where I could purchase the CD without success. I have e-mailed the good people at Verizon to see if they will send me a CD with the operating system. If they do not, I will have a dissapointed soldier and a modem that is going to be returned to Amazon. Either way, I will probably be out the $160 from Verizon.
I acknowledge that this may be a product that exceeds my technical expertise. If you do not have an IT background, you may find yourself frustrated with this product.
Use of this product may not save that much money. Purchasing the item directly from Verizon costs $260 (approx). Set-up from Verizon was $160 with the existing product. (This includes a month at $50 and part of another month).
Post Script: Saving the VZ Manager Software to a flash drive worked. Our son tells us that he can Skype using the product. It will be cheaper than a one-time purchase of a new modem.

Cons Review
No Sim Card/Program DVD . This item worked for me simply because I already had a SIM Memory Card from a broken modem. So I switched it to the new one and was able to get online. But if your not replacing a broken modem as I was, you be very dissapointed with this product. I don't know how they can sell something that doesn't come with half of the parts like that.
Ooop something's missing . Never will I listen to a dumb video game playing geek again. He said, "Plug and play,plug and play" ....he did not inform me I'd need software to down load to work or it may not operate with Linux. D*mn!! It's now sitting on my desk as I look at it. Oh well, read all the info you can or just go to Verizon.
