Fantastic solution and works GREAT! . This product works EXACTLY as described to couple a network connection and a phone connection in one ethernet cable. Here's how it works:
Connect the network connection from your router to jack 1 of one of these splitters.
Connect your phone connection from your phone's splitter/patch panel to jack 2 of the same splitter.
Connect the male end of the splitter to a coupler.
Connect the female end of the coupler to the ethernet cable going to the room where you want to combine the network and phone connection.
In the other room where you want to make your connections, connect an ethernet cable from the networking device (computer, game console, whatever) to jack 1 of the splitter.
Connect the phone to jack 2 of the splitter.
Connect the male end of the splitter to the wall which is coupled to the ethernet cable to the other splitter.
Easy, right? I gave the product 4 stars because the jack is not a great fit for an RJ-11 standard phone line. I had to fight with it a bunch to get it to click right and considering that the device is built for splitting a phone and network connection, jack 2 should be designed to better fit an RJ-11 cable.
One note: be sure your house is wired to T568B or this device will not work. You'll need to either find a device wired to T568A or do what I did and reterminate your home ethernet cable to T568B.

Worked Great! . I had looked at other products like this and saw some negative reviews. The cable splitter worked great. I plugged in both devices into the network outlets on either end, plugged the network cable into Jack 1, and the telephone cable into Jack 2 and bam! everything worked like a charm.

Cons Review
Would be great except..... . The damned things didn't work. It's hardly worth the money to return them, so I decided to just eat the cost. I'll probably try a different brand because, should I find a working pair, it would be a great way to expand the capacity of my network without the hassles of running new wires.
