The Rack Mount Kit, model ETH-11MK, comes with two metal mounting brackets and mounting screws to mount a compatible 11” wide switch to a standard 19” wide networking equipment rack. Compatible 11” wide switches must have 4 mounting points on each side that are 2 mm apart. Compatible TRENDnet switches include the 16-Port Gigabit GREENnet Switch, model TEG-S16Dg, and the 24-Port Gigabit GREENnet Switch, model TEG-S24Dg.
Item worked as expected . Not much to write about brackets, I received them quickly and they fit just right. I would recommend to anyone

Simple and worked easy overpriced for two hunks of metal . I bought the switch first and then about 3 days later decided to buy a network rack. Had I know these things were so expensive (for what they are) I would have gotten the 24 port Netgear router instead of the 16 port Trendnet. For about the same price I paid for the switch and these dog ears, I could had the Netgear with 8 extra ports which comes with the rack mount hardware.

Suitable for wall mounting . I purchased TRENDnet's TEG-S16Dg gigabit ethernet switch, knowing it was not configured for a wall-mount application. I then bought this rack mount kit with the intention not to mount the switch in a rack, but directly to a wall.I can confirm that this kit will serve that purpose. The holes used to affix this kit to the switch are in a square alignment and rotationally-symmetrical. The ears can be attached for rack mount, or rotated 90 degrees and used to secure the switch to a wall surface.There are small downsides to using this kit for this purpose: the ears stick out further than necessary when not mounting to a rack, meaning the switch takes up somewhat more wall space than if the switch were itself designed to be wall-mounted directly. And, the ears are attached to the switch at the "front" of the switch, which is probably not the sturdiest position for this use. But assuming nobody will be roughhousing with or abusing the mounted device, it appears to be completely secure for ordinary use.I should add that the kit does not come with screws suitable for attaching the kit to a wall. I supplied my own.

Perfect fit. . These are Trendnet-branded rack ears designed for the 16 and 24 port green switches. I purchased a set to mount a TEG-S16Dg 16 port unit, and they fit perfectly.
These ears are the same color as the switches they mate to, and come with 8 screws.
