good for what it does . MicroSD cards are hard to insert correctly (they share a slot with M2 cards) and practically impossible to remove without tweezers because they go in so far.
That said, it's a very versatile little device. It doesn't take up much space, and it performs as advertised.

fantastic all in one hub but must be plugged in . Great little hub. I really like it. Love that it has so many USB ports along with the card reader. This is hard to find at this decent price. My only dislike is that is has to be plugged in to the wall socket (even if it's plugged into a powered USB port!) in order to use the card reader. The usb ports all work without being plugged in, but the card reader won't work. This frustrates me as I have so many things plugged in. But if that's not an issue for you then this is a perfect hub.

Works with iPad! . iPad is tricky if you try to download pictures from anything other than an Apple SD card reader/adapter. Other card readers all draw too much power for the iPad, including the Lexar 24-in-1 which I'd hoped would work.
Using this IOGear GUH286 self-powered USB Hub/Card reader works GREAT, and for all types of cards including CF and XD. Because of its included auto-switching 110/120-volt power adapter, the IOGear does not draw power from the iPad. It's another thing to carry along on your travels, but WORKS great and allows importing digital camera shots from all types of cards. A++++

Ideal USB/Media Card Netbook Hub . I bought this hub for my Asus netbook - needed more than 3 USB ports. This product works great. It's reasonably small, powered (netbook doesn't provide much power to its internal USB ports) and has worked flawlessly. You have to get the hang of which way the media cards insert into the unit, and you'll need access to all 4 sides of the hub to plug everything in, but it's great. The product arrived promptly and in good shape and even the miserable hard plastic wrapping wasn't too hard to get off. Very satisfied.
Combo Hub and USB . Great idea... consolidate all your cables and USB features. Unfortunately, one of the ports isn't working an I've already "permanently" installed it (involving sticky tape). So, it works great with the exception of the port.
Awesome Product . Purchased for my new IMAC27. Placed 20 feet away from my IMAC and it supports three printers and various memory cards. Has a nice quality feel and it looks good.
USB hub and card reader . I bought this to replace my prior hub and card reader. I like powered hubs, since some things plugged into them need a little more juice to work. This card reader is lightening fast, much faster than my prior D-Link version. I recommend it.
Nice Hub . PROS: Lots of ports on multiple sides, integrated Mini-B cable, compact size, quality construction.
CONS: Integrated Mini-B cable placement, does not work without power adapter.

Works well so far . Works well so far. Installing for use on a 20" Intel iMac was plug and play. Only issue so far is that one of the card slots doesn't read the card sometimes. I have to pull the card out and push it back in before it will mount. Everything else seems to work fine.
Cons Review
Worked for several months but then the card reader quit . I loved this thing and used it constantly until today when the card reader unexpectedly quit on me. The usb ports work great but it won't read any of my cf cards or sd cards anymore... going to look for a different one now.
