This review is from : Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Hub (F4U020)
Nice 4 Port Hub with an Attractive Look . I really like this 4-Port Powered Desktop Hub. We all know with all the peripherals out there these days we can never have enough open USB slots. This simple device gives us four more high speed USB 2.0 ports.
The device comes in three parts:
1.) The USB hub (2 and 5/8 inch square by a little over 0.5 inches deep)
2.) A Power plug (5 feet long)
3.) A USB 2.0 Cable [it is 4 feet long and standard USB (plug into your computer) to mini USB (plug into the USB hub)]
It is stated that this hub is compatible with both Windows and Mac. I had no problem getting it to work with my Windows PC and my Windows laptop. They even state that this will work with a netbook. Just plug and play and you are all set. There is no driver disk or anything needed.
The USB hub is actually recognized by my computer without using the supplied power cord (in other words it is able to be powered by the computer itself via the USB cable). That being said, I suspect the power plug is included for good reason and one would need to use it to power certain peripherals. For example, I tested an external CD/DVD drive and in order to have my computer recognize the drive and play a movie it was necessary to use the power cord.
The device does seem a little lightweight; however, I view that as a positive since that makes it very easy to travel with if I want to use it with a laptop.
The hub has two USB slots each on opposite sides and that is perfect for cord management.
Stylistically, this resembles an Apple TV device; however, it is much smaller as indicated above and it only has a shiny black finish on the top. The rest of the device is a matte white. It is a low profile device that is not only extremely portable, but it is also easy to blend with other electronic components.
Data transfer speeds are up to 480Mbps
The recommend system requirements are:
For PC:
Pentium processor with Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port available
Windows 98 SE, 2000, Me, XP, Vista, or 7
For Mac:
Mac OS 9.2 or higher for full-speed USB
Mac OS X v10.2.8 or higher for Hi-Speed USB 2.0
I have over a dozen Belkin devices and none of them have ever let me down.

Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Hub (F4U020) Reviews
This thing is FAST! . I had been using a Targus 4-Port USB 2.0 Bend-a-Hub with Mini USB Adapter ACH103US (Black), which had plenty of power to run everything I could throw at it. Printer? Yup. External harddrive? You bet. Then there was the assortment of other things like my mouse and speakers.
Then I tried the Belkin powered hub. My print jobs start faster, and I can back up my computer to the external hard drive much faster when they are connected to the Belkin. I don't know whether it's because it's a Belkin or because it plugs into its own power source, but I really like this hub and would suggest it to anybody needing a hub that will have heavy power users (like printers and hard drives) plugged into it.

Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Hub (F4U020) Opinions
Helpful Computer Item . This is a really helpful item! It totally works, data transfer is pretty quick!
I love this because with all the items I am plugging into my main computer lately, and with only 2 ports in the front (the rest are in the back) I am having a much easier time making certain things portable (such as my portable hard drive). It is pretty unobtrusive on my desk, so it saves room while being super convenient! And set up is super easy, pretty much just plug it in.Any complaints are pretty minor.... such as the ports being on the sides (or front and back if U prefer), so it seems to take up a bti of extra room to accomodate any cords.

Wish it had lights. . Great for items (MP3 players, etc.) that can be charged via their USB port. It will continue to charge even if your computer goes dormant, which is a nice feature. The ports are placed two on a side, and fairly close together. This is only an issue if you use flash drives or plugs that are on the wide side, in which case only one port may be accessible. The only downside,IMO, is that there are no indicator lights whatsoever, but other than that, a nice product.
Cute & Very fast . The USB hub is one of the faster ones I have ever used, and this one would be perfect for those who need a powered USB hub. It is small, cute and simply works without any issues. It takes up much less room on my desk than my previous Belkin hub and is faster even though they are both USB 2.0 devices. The only thing which caused me to take off a star is the price; these days, a 4 port 2.0 USB hub ought to cost around ten bucks or so, not over 125% more. If it were USB 3.0 and had 7+ ports, it would be worth the price.
What can I say? It works! . My husband is a DJ and we use this because there aren't enough USB ports on his laptop to support all of the USB devices he has to plug in. The hub uses a power adapter so it does not drain battery from the computer and it is very easy to just plug and go.
It is also really small and compact that it does not take too much space. It works with every single device that is plugged in there and it actually seems to make some of the devices run even more efficiently and faster.
The bottom line, if you need a way to expand your USB port's capability and want something that just works, this is the hub for you. What's even better is that it's affordable and does what it is suppose to.

Great . I think Belking products speak for themselves and this one is no different. Its a nice 2.0 4 port hub and Its nice and cute looking. 4 ports for removing all the clutter. Also works as a power hub which is a win win. Very quick transfers. Good product.
Hubba Hubba . My husband is using this on his Xbox 360. The one it replaced looked like it came out of a VH1 I Love the 80s special. This one is small and has a very modern look to it. We use the 360 every day, and the hub is holding up nicely.
Gets the job done . This Belkin USB hub works as expected. It's a powered hub, which means you can use it to power-up USB chargeable devices, which is a nice feature. I just have two main complaints on this product.
First, the USB ports are too close together (there's two on each side). This is fine in most cases, but if you have a device that's wider than normal at the USB connection, then you might have trouble accessing the next-door port. Second, the part of the power cord that plugs into the wall is quite wide. If you are plugging into a normal wall socket, this isn't an issue, since the power adapter would extend horizontally to the side of wall socket. However, on a typical power strip, the adapter covers up one or two electric sockets, which seems like a design flaw to me. Besides these two issues, this hub works great.
