It's a great modem, as reliable as my older 1100, and the quality skips right over the 2500! If you've been using one of those, than you know THAT is very important...
Basically, it's a killer modem, better than all the other modems I've tried & I think it's a great relief. I was tired of the freeze-ups!
Another bonus, it works just as well on my MAC G4 as it does on my other PC's.

Toshiba PCX2600 cable modem WORKS GREAT . Stopped paying Comcast monthly rental and bought this used modem.
It works perfectly, just as my rented modem worked.
Tricky part was need to call cable company and get them to activate it; took 1/2 hour!

Great Performance . I've owned a PCX 2600 for about a year now and it has yet to let me down. I haven't had to deal things like freeze ups as often as I did with other modems. Toshiba is a good brand and for the past year I've been extremely pleased with the product. The quality and performance are second to none. I urge all those with modem issue to invest in this one.

Cable modem . Great item. Great purchase. Great brand and always a favorite. Reasonably priced and Im saving money with the cable company. Was east to install and works great.
great price easy install fast . I think it works better and faster than the modem I was renting from Comcast (which went to $7/month so I decided to buy my own).
Works great . I purchased this Toshiba PCX2600 cable modem so that I could stop renting a cable modem from Comcast for $7 per month. Unpacked it, connected it to the cable input and ethernet output to my wireless router, plugged it in, and the indicator LED's lit up. The next time I tried to access the internet my browser was taken to a Comcast modem set-up web page where I was taken through a series of steps to activate the new modem. Took a few minutes, but worked fine. Upload and download speeds are exactly as expected.
worth the money . This is a dedicated cable modem(no phone capabilities). I use a Magic Jack(VoIP) and the Toshiba modem works fine. No call-quality problems so far. The PCX2600 meets DOCSIS 2.0 standard which works well with connection speeds at least to 10mbs. My cable company suggested a 3.0 modem for download speeds above 10mbs. Hope this helps.

Great modem . I just plugged it in and the cable company keyed it up. Never skipped a beat.
Cons Review
incompatible? . The installation wizard clearly took me through the steps for installation. I do not know whether the modem is defective or simply not compatible between my Dell Optiplex and Comcast's Internet service. Even after waiting a few hours, the modem never picked up Comcast's frequency.
