AlphaShield Review . I installed Norton Internet Security and within no time realised my machine was under continual attack, with warnings flashing up everywhere! But with holes and patches being issued regularly I decided that it would be pure folly to only rely on a software solution to protect my sensitive data. I finally found what I needed, AlphaShield. I plugged it in and calm descended - all warnings stopped immediately, my internet surfing is totally unaffected and no more alarms!So if you are looking for a simple, plug and play solution that provides total protection, this is it. Just plug it an and go! Simple but powerful . Setting up and maintaining software firewalls on multiple computers can be a maintenance nightmare for someone that isn't interested in doing the work. Here's the solution! Simply connect this slick little device between your modem and computer(or router), and there's no more need for a software firewall! It took all of about 5 minutes to hook up and has been working like a charm since. I now only need to maintain antivirus software on each computer which saves me money on the yearly subscription update! Thank you AlphaShield!

Great added Protection from Hackers! . Alpha Shield is a great Product. I set mine to Auto-mode,which
means that if there is no internet activity within 15 minutes,it goes Physical disconnect. You must press the "connect" button if
you want to start another internet session.
Since iam on a Network,i place the shield on the connection of my
computer before i connect to the Router. That way my time-out session willnot shut-down the connection of the other computers on the network. You can also place Alpha Shield at the Router,but if someones session times-out you must go to where the Alpha Shield switch is,and press the "connect" button.
You can disconnect from the internet at-will also,and you donot lose your internet IP address and DNS settings. This product is great,but Alpha Shield still recommends you have a Virus-Scanning program and Firewall.
The only thing i didnot like about AlphaShield is that it took my 100 MBps LAN and reduced it to 10 MBps. But Since i wasnot using the 90 MBps i really am not missing much. My internet connection speed hasnot changed,so i notice no noticable reduction of performance. I highly recommend this product.

Great Security System for wired and wireless networks!!! . This high tech, simple to use firewall works perfectly for my network security needs. It cannot be hacked into, and stopped all third party pop-ups!! It monitors all of your incoming and outgoing computer communications. The AlphaShield 10 Mbps adds extra firewall protection not provided by my modem or router. It's sturdy--I've been using it for two years. Great product.
Stops Intrusions Cold! . Thanks to my Symantec Client Firewall and Symantec Anti-Viru-s installed, I was able to determine that I was getting many unwanted intrusions. It was surprising and scary to see what was happening! So, being a non-tekkie, I talked with an IT guy at work who recommended getting a hardware firewall to complement the Symantec software. Attaching this oh-so-simple, not-intimidating-to-do alpha shield was great. I'm actually shocked that more isn't being made of this product and promoted much more than it is. In fact, I think ISPs like Comcast, etc. should provide this little gem with their high-speed internet service. There is a lot of bad stuff lurking out there that we don't even see, unless we go looking for it. You think you are safe with the firewall and virus software; however, the hardware firewall like this really helps with your online security.
