ASUS WL-167g - ASUS WL-167g USB2.0 WLAN Adapter (key-type); IEEE802.11g, 54Mbps
This review is from : ASUS WL-167g V2 - USB Wireless Adapter - 802.11b/g
Works perfectly in Ubuntu Linux 9.10 Karmic Koala with NetworkManager . Plugged it in to the USB slot and waited a few seconds. NetworkManager picked it up and connected to my access point. No fiddling required.

works great with Apple IBook . So easy to use, just load the software for macintosh, adjust the settings,
then plug it in. And off you go into wireless land.
Great product and a great alternative to apple airport card.

ASUS WL-167g V2 - USB Wireless Adapter - 802.11b/g Opinions
Asus USB great for my Mac . I purchased a used Powermac G4 Tower. I didn't know until after the purchase just how small a pool there is for components for a Mac. I needed to get online with this Mac to update the systems hardware and software. Looking for components I found Airport this... proprietary that... and I was getting frustrated. Finally I took a chance on this Asus USB wireless dongle. It worked like a charm! I also used it on a few of my older Compaq Armada laptops that I use for my business. It was the best way to get on the net with these older comps and even easier than a direct ethernet connection to my wireless modem. I'm running all over the house with this thing to use it on different computers but it's worth it. I think I'll buy another. It is a thing that actually works and that says a lot.

Works Great . I bought this to make my iBook G3 wireless instead of buying an expensive airport card. It works great.
Great wireless for awesome price! . I recently bought this for my brother's iBook (the Airport card had never worked on his computer). He is so happy that he now has wireless access. He told me that it was extremely easy to set up and use, and he loves it! I can't believe this is such an awesome product for such a good price. If anything, it's ability to pick up wireless is better than my own Airport card on my computer. I highly recommend this to Mac users who are looking for easy and reliable wireless access.
Finally connected . I purchased this product and can finally be connected to wireless internet with my MAC. The only problem is that I'm having is that I have to plug it in each time I try to connect and I'm not sure that I should have to do this. I usually leave it in the USB port thinking that the computer will pick up the connection but I have to disconnect then reconnect it first. Maybe that's the way all wireless adapters work. I'd love to hear from someone else who has used this product.
Works Great on Mac . I got this for a mac that had a broken airport card and didn't want to spend a lot since the laptop was old. The software worked on mac, the product is great even the the swivel usb adaptor is really cool it lets you move the dongle out of the way. It connects easily. Upload and download speeds are very good I think faster then the original airport card was. Shipping was fast and free I love it.
Mac Friendly . This product is a cheap alternative to apple air port extrem only thing wrong with it is it has to go directly to computers usb port. No USB hubs.
Cons Review
Absolute piece of junk . I bought this to use with an iMac located about 25 feet from a good quality access point. The installation was no problem and it worked at first, but afterwards only sporadically. I tried every trick I could think of to get it to work reliably. It would work for a while, but then quit. The range is exceptionally poor, barely getting a workable signal at 25'. A reboot would usually get it working again, but I finally gave up and threw the thing in the trash (I waited too long to return it).
The configuration tool is a standalone app, not integrated into the Mac network control panel. It actually caused my Mac to crash (freeze hard requiring a power cycle) on several occasions. As best I can recall, this Mac has never crashed before. There are no updates for firmware or software available from the manufacturer, and email tech support requests produced no useful results when answered at all.

didn't work with Windows 7 . Software appears to load but adapter doesn't work. Don't think it's compatible with Windows 7.
