Great Deal Works With Xbox Live . I purchased this router to replace my ailing D-Link DI-624. I am a big gamer on Xbox Live, so Xbox Live compatibility was a big deal to me. Luckily, this router works perfectly with it. The feature set included in the interface (traffic prioritization, bandwidth management, dual SSIDs, etc.) is what you would normally see in routers that are 3 times as expensive.
Speaking of the dual SSID feature, it works flawlessly...it allows me to have another wireless network that guests can connect to and not have access to my local subnet. A nifty feature of the guest SSID is the fact that you have the ability to limit the connection speed so your guests are not sucking all of your bandwidth :-). Another intriguing feature is the fact that you can use separate security/encryption for both of the SSIDs. I have WPA2 on the main, and WEP on the guest, which allows my Nintendo DS to connect (as it is WEP only).
The traffic prioritization/QOS works as expected...you can set time-sensitive packets such as VOIP traffic, gaming traffic, etc. to a higher priority, so those packets get handled faster.
The wireless adapter works great and was actually a surprise when I opened the box...I didn't realize it was included!
All in all, it's a great choice for someone looking for a large feature set but in a home/small office router.

ZyXEL NBG334W 802.11g Dual-SSID Wireless Router with G202 802.11g USB 2.0 Adapter (white) Reviews
It gets the job done. . What people don't seem to realize is that problems with connectivity to routers is a pretty common problem. That is why, there are no wireless routers that satisfies everyone. It doesn't exist. Even the mighty Apple Airport which is the most stable router out there still has a few detractors. I like most, have bought every single router out there, searching for the holy grail of uninterrupted flawless surfing. And just like the holy grail, it still has not been found. This Router is just like the others, as it may or may not give you problems. At least this one doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and has all the options of a full featured router. Excellent value for money. I have not had any issues with it so far. Oh, and if you were thinking of buying a Wireless N(draft) router, you also have to buy a wireless adapter from the same manufacturer to utilize the features(PRICEY). And if you just surf the web and are not using it as a LAN network hub, Wireless N is just excess you will not fully utilize. This is so inexpensive that you have nothing to lose in trying it.

It is still working fine. It has never hanged, nor have I had to reboot it, unlike the Belkin, DLink, Linksys routers I have had before this. Mind you, I did buy a small electric fan and use it to keep the router cool. This could be why it has never failed on me. I advice doing the same.

Believe it or not, this Zyxel is still ticking without missing a beat. Never hanged or gave me any problems so far. This is the longest I have owned a Router without it hanging. I am amazed.
***UPDATE APRIL 04,2010***
I have had this powered on 24/7 for more than a year, and haven't experienced any issues thus far. It works for my iPhone, IPod Touch, Wii, PC Server, PC Laptop, MacBook, and Asus Linux Netbook. I still strongly advice buying a small fan to cool any Wireless Router. I am very happy with this Router. I have no plans of upgrading to the N models because my internet service provider can only offer 10 mbps. So, this is more than sufficient for my needs.

Amazing router for an unbelievably low price works great with PS3 . This is a great router. Easy to set up, Dual SSID, no dropped calls and no networking error. I have Vonage and works great with it. Not a single dropped call. Not a single networking error with PS3. I have been through a couple of more expensive routers (Including X550N, see my review on that) but this is the only one that is completely error free and reliable. I turned off the "Media Bandwidth Management" feature, as it was actually slowing down my internet connection. Dual SSID and free USB wireless adapter are nice freebies. I highly recommend this router for this crazy cheap price, no flaws and excellent performance. Ultimately, your internet speed is bottlenecked by your ISP, not your router. 54 MPS is more than enough when most ISP's do not give you more than 3-7 MPS download speed.

Bottomline: very good for basic wireless setup . I got this unit for home wireless set up, had used a d-link router and a trendnet router before, while my laptops at home worked fine with those routers but my new desktop couldn't get good signal for some reason. I reluctantly bought this unit since it's so cheap and was totally amazed by this product. As the other viewer mentioned, the unit looks very nice, both router and the wireless adapter, pretty easy to set up and now I have stable signal everywhere. I'm very happy with it. Haven't tried any other functions, so no comments there.
They actually have Tech Support! . I had a heck of a time getting this router to work on a network that uses a Hughes satellite modem -- due to a setting I wasn't aware of. Of course I put off calling tech support "knowing" that'd be a pain. Finally I called out of desperation and was very pleasantly surprised to reach a human, native English speaker, with only a 60 second wait time! I described the symptoms and he had the answer immediately -- so I had the router working properly within 3 minutes of calling support. I've had reasonably good luck with this brand in the past so rating this at 4 stars. My past experience however is that routers in this price range (all brands) often fail within 18 months or so; thus not 5 stars.
excellent router . I have till date purchased 5 of these. I recommend them to my office personnel's for use at home. Configuring is easy. NEVER DROPS!. Also there are 2 networks you can setup , one for guest and one for self. Both WLAN will have diffrent SSID and password. You can also control how much bandwidth you wish to provide to the guest network. can be setup as a router or a access point. very good and stable code. Will recommend to everyone.
good item 4 d buy . received this item pretty fast. got it connected to my network of about 10 computers including a NAS and its working well. sometimes it gives a strange ip to the server so then i cant find it but after a while it assigns a proper ip. i hope it would settle down after a while.
Second review: I have stopped using it. It keeps hanging up and rebooting. I dont know if it cannot take more than One computer. I use it in my small business with about 10 computers and it reboots every 30 minutes or less. I needed a router with a second SSID but this one failed me just as the Belkin N1 Vision router also failed me after about 4 months. It is now dead.
I dont know if anyone can suggest a router with a second SSID. I need it for my hotspot small business so customers cannot access the business network.

producto de primera . tengo ya 1 año con el equipo trabajando 24x7 y no ha presentado ninguna falla, cumple con su trabajo y muy facil de configurar
CHEAP AND IT WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . i must start this by saying i am about a s dumb as they come with pc. so i bought this based on the price.well as soon as i hooked it up it worked....with the yellow cable that came with it. after 3 weeks of trying to get the "wireless "side to work i gave up. then one night i was bored and tried once again to get it working. my problem was my pc would not download some disc that came w/ the router. but as soon as i turned the wireless feature on my labtop, it then allowed me to download the disc, and i was up in running in 10 mins. im sure if i knew what i was doing from the start i wouldnt have thrown it in the conner and feel like i wasted 46.36(s/h). but since ive got it to work i must say this is a 5 star product all the way. but i do worn for you newbies like my self, the tech support is in the uk, so that 50 cents a min for any question you may have. ive taken my labtop out side just to check the range and man is it good. well with this said , if you can get it to work its worth the 39.99.
Cons Review
Decent router but not great for VOIP services . i was a little wary when I first bought this product. I'd been buying about one router per month trying to find one that wouldn't drip my VOIP phone service signal, had good sound quality, and offered QOS signal quality prioritization.
I had tried about 7 other routers until spotted this ZyXel model.
well the Zyzel was cheap, that's for sure....and surprisingly it didn't *look* that cheap when I got it. it is actually a nice looking little device. its' pretty easy to setup, too....at least with basic setup features.
when you log into the router to setup static IP addresses or set up quality of service to a specific IP, then things start getting confusing.
and the grammar and spelling isn't very good in the setup menut, either....which doesnt inspire confidence.
it worked OK a router, but it sucked as a VOIP router. dropped calls all the time, needed to be rebooted etc. all this despite being touted as a great voice over ip router. it's not. in fact it isn't usable for that function almost at all.
I ended up buying the linksys wrt54g2.....which doesn't even mention in it's spec sheet that it offers QoS or VOIP priotitization, but it does!!!
I originally planned to flash it with tomato or dd-wrt firmware, but you know what???? the linksys model works grear with the firmware it has.
I've been using it a month so far with absolutely no VOIP problems and it is very fast with my playstation 3 and my bitotrrents, too.
a much better product than the ZyXel, which was really not a good item.
