A fair router for a fair price. . Bottom line: a good router for a fair price. It will work best on a single floor in a smaller house. Do a firmware update after you get it.
I ordered this sight unseen and just hoped it would work well with my AT&T DSL at home. It does and it does. The set up is good. The setup wizard walks you through most of the important set up steps you need. The one big step that is missing from the wizard is security. I would have expected that the wizard would present me with the option to set up WEP or WPA or something. You can configure the router for these things but not with the wizard.
The form factor is good. It is fairly small and since it is black it can be hidden in the shadows if you need to. :)
The range is not what I'd hoped for but I guess it is to be expected for the size of the unit and the single, small antenna. Coverage on the same floor is good but weak in the basement.
Also, I had a problem with the router where it would simply routing wirelessly. If I plugged my laptop in via an ethernet cable I could manage the router but there was no connecting wirelessly. I'd have to restart the unit to get it working again. Before I called their technical support I checked on line for a firmware update. There was one. I downloaded that and installed it and it seems to have resolved that problem.

It comes with a wizard that configures only the very basics but the basics don't adequately protect your home network. The instruction book is pretty useless, however, the on-disk instructions are better, but do not tell you what every blank on the setup screens are for, much less what you should put in them. At the recommendation of other reviewers, I updated the firmware after it stopped working on several occasions. That helped, but I still have to reboot the router about once every 5-6 days or it stops working.

Great Product . Router is great. I only live in a 1000 sqft apartment but I never loose connection. Speeds are fast but then again it depends on your internet package.

Easy Setup. But it failed after 10 months . Purchased this router to replace a Netgear that would no longer function. Setup was easy and it doesn't drop the internet connection at all (which the Netgear did).
UPDATE - 10 months later the router will not connect to the internet. Trendnet support was quick to respond, but the router is dead. Has a 3 year warranty though, so I am returning it for replacement.

Better than most of my other routers . I purchased this at a retail store recently because I needed a wireless bridge for my Xbox and I was hoping that it might have support for such a configuration. Unfortunately the firmware didn't support turning the router into a wireless bridge, but luckily my other router did so I ended up swapping my Linksys the TrendNet router and configuring the Linksys as the wireless bridge.After testing out the TrendNet router for a few weeks, it's held up better than expected. Typically when I run a torrent program it will hog the internet connection and make regular browsing impossible. It also tended to mess with the DNS settings to where I'd have to reboot the router just to get everything working again. With the TrendNet router the impact is barely noticeable; I can browse the web and stream Netflix without any issues, and I haven't had to reset it since I first set it up.The negatives of the router are that the signal does seem kind of weak, and there aren't as many firmware/hardware options as I would have liked. Other than that it has performed much better than expected.
its ok . it works ok, in a 3 bedroom house, dnt have the signal in the 3rd bedroom. if the laptop is closer to the router...it works great.

Cons Review
Wireless Router . Unfortunately it was defective, and didn't work, but the company replaced it free of charge with another unit. A D-Link Router which works great.
