Belkin Clip-On 4 port USB hub F5U416 review .... . Great little clip-on USB hub for 4 USB outgoing connections (1 input USB connection) with USB powered capability (you can use power adapter too if you have greater than 500mA load from attached USB devices.) This is a very thought through design and works great almost any place from edge of table to round beams to cable jungle (you can put the clip around band of cables.) The clip hold wires and keep things looking neat. The device has very convenient front/top 2 USB connections for quick USB drives/etc. insertion and removal. If you are looking for 4 port USB hub then it's hard to find a better built better designed hub of unsurpassed usefulness. I did have to use supplied power adapter to power the Belkin hub in order for it to power my portable Hitachi 7,200rpm 2.5'' drive--it would not be detected by computer otherwise.

Also the package says "Works on tables or desks with a thickness not exceeding 1.25 inches." Note, the opening does not expand as wide as the diameter of the circle, which is probably 1.5-2 inches across. I assume that's to leave room for cables to go through.
I haven't actually used the ports a lot yet, but have had no trouble when I did, and the design with the clip-on and the top ports is perfect for what I needed. I am very satisfied.

A great little desktop hub . The hub is tiny and secures rather firmly to the edge of my desk. Does exactly what I need it to do. I'll probably be buying another one soon. I've tried lots of different brands and have come to believe that Belkin makes some of the best and most reliable connectivity gear out there.

Well designed. . This is a well designed and well constructed USB hub. The convenience of being able to simply clip the hub onto the side of a desk was the reason I went with this unit rather than some of the others out there, and I was not disappointed.
Great expedient . There's really no /need/ for your interface to be located on the same box, or in proximity to the processor, memory and drives. This little addition let me put my noisy old PC about four feet away, while keeping all the USB ports I use right next to me.
While the actual clip works well on most table legs or desks, this is the part that needs the most work. Dramatic improvements would result from making this operable beyond the one-inch margin -- maybe with a broad soft clamp.

Belkin Clip-On Hub . The clip-on hub was just what we were looking for. It provides us with additional USB ports and puts them right on the top of the computer desk in easy reach. We were having trouble with our cordless mouse because the USB port was on the floor behind the computer and the hub solved that problem. The clip-on feature works great to keep the hub just where we want it.

If you are looking for something that has is powered and have 4 ports I would recommend this to anyone (especially if you want to tuck it out of the way of things.
It doesn't have enough juice to power my iPad2, but I didn't think it would (even with the power cable attached to the hub). That isn't a big deal to me though.

Works well . It works so well, I bought a second.
Great little hub-replaced one that would occasionally give me fits. It slips onto the edge of your desk (at the rear) and provides four ports, two on the read (best for more permanent connections, like printers, mice, etc.) and two on the face. My only complaint is the the front-facing ones should be a little more vertical. I have a pretty thin top to my desk, and when I plug in a cable, it starts to push the hub off the back of the desk. I imagine with most desks it would not be a problem, but I have to watch it.
Otherwise, it works perfectly well, and takes up zero useable space, yet provides easily accessible ports for card readers, iPod synching, etc.

Great USB Hub . I've had this usb hub for about 5 months and it has worked great. The clip holds it well on the side of my desk and all of my devices function properly when connected to it.
Great item! . This hub clips right to my desk, never moves and works like a charm. I have a magic jack, printer, keyboard and thumb drive hooked to it and have not had any problems.
