Powerlink Max . I work on computers and have purchased many of these to help small businesses reach there dsl modems that were in there house to an office across the street. I have to say, I was IMPRESSED! I tested this against my default laptops wireless, which wouldn't even be in the list of available networks. I hooked this up, and boom, it went from no detection on default wireless, to 48% strength. Connected no problem on windows xp,vista and 7 without a problem. I tested it to reach about four houses down and connected no problem. Love it!

Great wireless adapter . If your looking to boost up your wireless signal, this product is for you. It finds ranges my normal wi-fi will not find. Great product and the usb connection extends about 3-4ft.

Really Really great wifi signal finder . I am always careful when spending my money. I was a little hesitant at first, but my office mate wanted to get one so I went ahead and got two. First thing that really impress me was the arrival time, I got the package so quick I was wowed, secondly when I hooked it up to my computer, I started finding networks that did not exist before. After seeing what it is capable of I ordered three more for my friends. Easy to install just plug and play, the bottom line is, this is a great product to invest in. No problem so far, been using it over three weeks now.
Range 1500m? Not really . I had ordered it so that i can connect to my dads offices WiFi Router, which is at a distance of 750m i guess, And the range on the router was 1500m with no obstacles in between. I didn't even found the offices router tbh, signal strength is far by.
But that's because their are few houses in between. But it did connected to few restaurants Open network Wifi which are in the range of 500m. Now at least i know that the wifi is not that bad. But still i was not able to connect to my dads router, which is at a distance of 750 m, so what i did is i made a foil paper reflector and then stick it to the 9Dbi antenna and then point it to my dads office and then Bamn, i got a signal strength of 25% on it and allot more nearby routers.
So if your router is at a distance of 1000m or more with no obstacles in between then this will be great, and if you got few obstacles then you might have to make a signal reflector by foil paper which is too easy to make. And if you got allot of obstacles then you will have to keep the antenna on the roof or a high place because wifi signals travel much faster in a downward slope, so if your router is on ground floor and the antenna on a higher level then that then it might boost your signal even more.
Now about ease of connecting, well i just installed the driver on Win 7 and it worked, but only when i choose 802.11n USB Wifeless LAN card as friendly name when it is asked when the application starts. On letting it stay on default name (RT73 USB Wifeless LAN card) The application will work but it wont detect any routers at all.
And for Country region code, you can connect it from channel 1 to 14. And it also works as Xlink (great for PSP owners), has Wifi Direct, which is awesome and can be used to transfer multimedia content.
P.S. The antenna came broken, but i think that was because of Damn lame packing by amazon (amazon usually packs excellent, but this was the worst packing ever), but a little transparent tape fixed it.

Cons Review
Doesn"t work . I purchased first one and it did not work.. would pick up lots of local networks but would not contect to any of them even using the proper password to that router.. returned it and got another one same problem.. went to Premiertek web site No help then went to Ralink web site for utilites new drivers to program but it still did not work same problem.. will be returning this one as soon as I can get a RMA from Amazon..
