Do you find you have too many devices to attach to your computer and not enough USB ports for all of them? Adding a USB Hub is an inexpensive way to add a lot of functionality to your setup.

you get what you pay for (in this case at least). . If your used to the "made in china" type of product, then no big surprises here. It seems a little flimsy, like when you plug a USB cord into it it feels like it's gonna break (and might in the near future). I also tried some of my peripherals with it and it doesn't seem any faster or better than my old (7yr old UN-powered)USB hub. But since I was being a cheapskate, I think I got what I paid for and have little room to complain. Just wanted to give others a "heads up" as to what they're getting.
In my opinion we may see these in "dollar" stores soon.
USB Highspeed 7 Port Hub w/ AC Adapter (Silver) Reviews
Use this smart and it will be a godsend. . My laptop only has 4 USB ports (one an eSATA/USB combo) but I was wanting to have a wireless mouse, midi keyboard, iLok dongle, usb flash drive, usb backup hard-drive and and an eSATA RAID setup plugged in in an organized manner. First off, do not plug anything that needs higher throughput into this. (hard-drives do not work well through any usb hub) The midi keyboard, mouse, ilok and flash drive all worked fine through this and it left a few ports spare on my laptop. One note: the included cable from the hub to the computer was fairly short. I had my laptop on an angled stand and hid the hub underneath that. Readyboost on flash drives did not work through this hub though so keep that in mind.Overall, this item is a great value.

Cheap hub not great quality . This hub is useful to connect multiple drives to a computer, but it does not does not charge Apple products (iPhone, iPod, etc.), but it does charge other electronics. However, it is light (not necessarily a good thing, because the components are probably not great) and small, and it is worth it for the price. Its transfer speeds are not very fast, but they vary based on the device. It comes with a short power cable and a standard USB 2.0 cable.
AWESOME . really work and its cool looking too and i got it a day before it was supposed to get here. thank!!!

Cons Review
DANGER . Poor build and sorted out my usb port! a 890 dollar laptop ruined by a cheap usb hub BEWARE O_o
NOT high-speed USB 2.0 hub only full-speed (12 Mbps) . Intended to use this with my gigabit ethernet router to expand storage at the same time as acting as a network print server (only one USB port on the router).`dmesg` reported that the USB flash drive would perform better with a high-speed hub. Sure enough, it was MUCH faster when plugged directly into the router.Just to be sure, I attached the hub directly to my Windows 7 desktop computer, which also reports it as a full-speed hub.I have no use for a full-speed hub, and contacted the seller. They started a refund immediately and without hassle.usb 1-1.4: reset full speed USB device using ar71xx-ehci and address 6
