Great Item . I am not very good with computer and when I got here to the states i found out that my computer didnt have an Ethernet conexion. I went to everysingle store around and couldnt find anything to solve my problem. I finally went on line an found this PCMCIA card. It was what i needed!!.easy to install and very simple!..it works great!

Works well . I bought this for my computer-illiterate older sister, who uses an ancient Dell laptop running Windows 98. There were no problems installing it and have been none using it.

no problems from the start . a very good card for it's low price; works better than more expensive ones
It Works . What else can I say. It works as advertised. I have an old laptop that does not have an ethernet connection on it so I bought this. I was surprised how expensive these adapters are in stores. I bought this and tried it. No problems. I am running an old HP Pavilion N3290 with windows 98/2.
Good buy . Pro: Easy installation. I didn't use the CD provided. Just plugged it in and it began working as advertised.

Since most newer laptop PCs has ethernet built-in, manufacturers stopped making them and choices were limited. I was hoping that I could get one that would cost cheaper than wireless adapter but no such luck...they cost a lot more than I thought.

Saves money . It worked perfect and installation was super easy on the WIN98 SE. Recommend to those who still have issues with the networking for their win 98. Remember to change the IP Address under the internet explorer tools. Other ways you wouldn't be able to connect to internet. The IP would be the same as the router or the modem (it's a local IP address).

Simple Solution . I needed to dedicate my older laptop for the MagicJack I'd been using on my desktop, but the Ethernet port had been damaged. I found the wireless PCMCIA card to be much too slow (54Mbps) for the MagicJack to work properly. The TRENDnet card, along with a new Ethernet cable plugged into my wireless router, was a simple and inexpensive solution to get my laptop back online for my business calls.
It just plugged in and Windows XP found its own driver for it, set itself correctly to 100Mbps and within a minute or so my old laptop was back online. I also did not use the included CD. It works fine without it.
