Works like a charm! . I've been having trouble getting a connection to my wireless router at the farthest reaches of our house, for both laptops and UMA cell-phones. The Amped Wireless High Power 12dBi Omni-Directional Wi-Fi Antenna (WA12) instantly solved our issues, even better we can now connect while on our front porch making it great to surf the web while enjoying a breeze.

Solved my range problem!!! . This product has definitely met my expectations. I have a 5000 sf house with three levels. (Basement, main floor and upstairs) Before, my wifi router performed poorly. We had a few dead spots in various parts of the house and almost no signal in the basement. Now, I have no dead spots whatsoever and a strong signal throughout my basement. A good value!

Excellent . Pre-antenna upgrade, I was able to watch high def videos from my living from (10-15 ft away from DIR-655), but not in my bedroom. (High def videos are located on another computer connected to DIR-655 through 1000Mbps Ethernet). After the upgrade I am able to watch without studdering throughout my house. The only negative thing I have is it didn't help my downstairs computer as much as I had hopes, though it did raise a bar in strength, but I'm guessing not the best antenna on that computer.

Awesome . These antennas are awesome. Our signal was extremely weak on the fringe areas of our house and now we have full signal in every area around the house and half signal two houses down. I would recommend these antennas to anyone!
Modest signal gain . We are using this antenna to increase the signal for a long distance 802.11 G connection that was marginal with a 6 dB directional antenna. With the old antenna we varied from one to three bars of signal with connection speeds between 1 and 24 Mbps. With this antenna installed the signal is between two and four bars with speeds of 12 to 36 Mbps. The antenna is connected to a PCI wireless adapter card. The distance to the router (WRT 54GS) is 250 ft and the signal travels through two exterior walls. This antenna does have a good base that is easily wall mountable with screws.
Works as advertised... . I live in an old stone ranch house with very thick walls. The stock antennas on my wireless router provided good service inside the house, but, the signal stopped dead at the walls. I considered an external solution, but, decided to give this unit a try since it is affordable. Installation is extremely simple (as long as you have the connector type right) and will show immediate results. By replacing one of the stock antennas inside the house I now get signal throughout my four acre yard and even further out onto the ranch, which allows me to enjoy my iPad outside and, best of all, I no longer have to allow ranch guests into my home for internet access.

Looks good....Walls just too thick . I purchased this product to increase wifi signal in an old victorian house with thick plaster walls. The signal just can't make it through the walls in this house, even with this antenna. I had to send this back.
Cons Review
Weak Signal . This antenna is really easy to install. You simply remove an antenna on your wifi and plug this one in. The problem is there was so little increase in signal that it is essentially a worthless product. I should point out there is only one way to hook up this antenna so it isn't that I didn't hook it up right (I'm pretty savvy with electronic equipment). I tried turning it in different directions to no avail. I sent it back to Amazon.
Do not buy . I bought this antenna and it was a waste of money and it does not work. It is only a plastic case with a wire, that is it. It has a little plastic swivel on the antenna to position it different ways and the wire inside breaks really really easily. I also bought the Amped Wireless premium 10ft antenna extension cable. I'm very disappointed with Amped Wireless. However the extension cable is nice for my old Hawking Technology antenna.
Sadly didn't work for me . I'm not sure if antenna was defective or not, but it didn't improve signal strength one bit over my router's default antenna. I ended up returning and purchasing a wifi extender instead.
