Ease of install and great product . Purchased this wireless Print Server because I had to move my home office to a different room than my printer was located. And, I didnt have CAT 5 cable to attach it to the network. The solution was to install a wireless print server. This was a flawless install with simple instructions and software to walk through the process. This is on a black and white laser printer with PCL 5 support and works great with the driver.

Airlink 1-port Wireless USB Printer Server Reviews
Very easy to set up (on some PCs) . This item is probably the easiest WiFi device I've ever set up and it works very well. However, I did have one glitch setting it up on a wired PC -- it wouldn't work as documented. I needed to set it up on another PC and copy the printer settings to the first machine. This worked like a charm. The documentation is actually very good for novice users but it doesn't tell you how to set up the device without the included wizard. All you need to do is create a standard Windows TCP/IP printer port. If you're curious, the Windows XP TCP/IP printer port settings are:
Port name - PS-597A30-U1
IP address (you can use DHCP or a static IP address. I'm using a static address outside the DHCP range of my router)
Protocol - LPR
Queue Name - PS-597A30-U1
Enable LPR Byte Counting
Enable SNMP
Community Name = public
SNMP device index = 1

Be Sure Your Printer Has Native DOS Mode Before Buying . Airlink 1-port Wireless USB Printer Server
This print server is fairly easy to set up and is certainly priced attractively, but it will only work with USB printers that have native DOS mode. Check the manufacturers website for printer compatibility at http://www.airlink101.com/support/index.php?cmd=files&_a=download&id=105 to be sure your printer will work. Most of the printers on the list have been discontinued by the manufacturers.
