Airport Extreme Card worked flawlessly . The card arrived sooner than expected. I had received a very courteous email from the vendor that they had trouble with the last batch of cards and were forced to refuse the entire shipment from the manufacturer (the first time this had happened they explained). They give me the option of canceling my order or waiting for the next delivery, the option that I chose.
To my surprise the card arrived within a few days. Within a few minutes I had the card installed (after I remembered to plug-in the little antenna cable) my network router recognized and I've had trouble-free internet access ever since.
It took longer to research what card I needed (I have an odd bird, a G4 dual-processor, aka Mirror Finish) than the time involved ordering and installation. It couldn't have gone any smoother. BTW, it is so nice to be back on a MAC again at home, rather then fighting with a PC based piece of junk. I can't believe how irksome it is waiting for windows to really boot-up, bring up my desktop and then allow me simple internet access. With the PCs -- five minutes -- if I'm lucky. With the MAC, thirty seconds.

Apple Airport Extreme Card - Network adapter - 802.11g Reviews
17" 1 GHz flat Panel iMac . I have one of those old 17" 1GHz flat Panel iMac's that look like a lamp. Apple iMac Desktop with 17" M8935LL/A (1.0-GHz PowerPC G4, 256 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, DVD-RW/CD-RW Drive) The card needed for this computer is not as straight forward as it could be on Apple's web site. I am here to say that if you have this 1GHz computer this is the card that you need. Below is a truncated list of iMacs and the cards they need from apples website. As you can see there are 2 listings for 17" iMacs one that is specifically listed as a flat panel and one that is just listed as 1 GHz. What it boils down to is that ANY iMac that is 1 GHz or greater will need this Extreme card.
iMac (Slot Loading) AirPort
iMac (Summer 2000) AirPort
iMac (Early 2001) AirPort
iMac (Summer 2001) AirPort
iMac (Flat Panel) AirPort
iMac (17-inch Flat Panel) AirPort
iMac (17-inch 1GHz) AirPort Extreme
iMac (USB 2.0) AirPort Extreme
iMac G5 (All models) AirPort Extreme
If you have the 700 or 800 GHz 17" flat panel iMac.Do not get this card. You need the original Airport card Apple Airport Card - Network adapter - AirPort - 802.11b
Installation was easy. I popped it in, booted up, waited a few seconds for the card to find available networks then selected my modem and logged in. Simple! I also allowed the keychain to always access the password so I did not have to verify it every time. Regardless of what the sellers say THERE IS NO INSTALLATION SOFTWARE. All you need to do is make sure your computer is up to date with the Apple software updater and your good to go. If you have hidden some updates over the years it would be good to review them to make sure you did not skip an essential update. Other than that there is no additional software.
I should have done this years ago. I have had the computer since 2003 and have been using a pluglink wire adapter to get internet to this computer but it no longer works so I bit the bullet and pick up this card from one of the other sellers and it works great!
Very Happy!

Apple Airport Extreme Card . This product works great and it's a must-have if you're looking to use a wireless printer or other item combined with a Mac.

Cons Review
junk . This was a refurbished card sold by an independent provider. It worked for about 30 seconds, and then stopped. It was a complete waste of money. I tried to rate it zero stars but the system would not allow me to do so.
