This review is from : Novatel Wireless MiFi 2352 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot (for HSPA Networks)
Good fit for Switzerland / Swisscom . We landed in Zurich and we went directly to the Swisscom shop at the airport to get a sim for the Mifi.
I got the NATEL?Easy BeFree sim card basically for free (CHF 19.90 with at CHF 20 credit included).
I added an additional CHF 20 credit as we were staying for 2 weeks.
The cost for unlimited internet surfing is CHF 4 / day.

I inserted the sim card and entered the pin code at the Internet menu to unlock the sim.

It was the first time that I used the 2352 and I had a small problem at first with the connection.
It turns out that the default is for the the device to not automatically connect to the phone network when it is powered on so it would only connect when I went to the device home page and hit the connect button.
Later on, I changed the default in Internet/Internet Settings Auto-connect enable.
It was set to Never and I changed it to Home Network.
There are three available options for auto-connect:
** Never -- You must always manually connect to the network.
** Home Network --The MiFi will only auto-connect to the home network when it is powered on.
** Home and Roaming Network -- The MiFi will connect to any available network when it is powered up.

Once that was changed, I did not encounter any other problem. Most of the time I got a solid 3G connection (pink/purple led) even when driving in the many tunnels. Some times, the connection dropped to Edge (green led) but that did not impact the devices already connected to the mifi (ipad / ipod touches) other than having a slower connection. I was able to have the mifi on while charging in the rental car via the 12 volt plug with a micro usb cable.

We had a great experience with the mifi as our family is used to electronic devices in the US and it would have been difficult to be out of the social network loop for 2 weeks.
The device is fairly expensive, but it was well worth it.

One other hiccup was that the charger I received for the 2352 does not have a US plug, but a European plug instead. It is not a problem if you have an adapter, but it would be nice to be able to charge the device in the US before traveling. The power adapter itself will work on 110 or 220 volts so that is not a problem, just the plug adapter. The power adapter had detachable plug end, so it would be trivial to add the US plug in the package.

I wanted to use the mifi when I was in France as well, but the Orange/France shop I went to did not have the sim card for Internet Max available. It was in a small town in Provence (Nyons) and we were there for just a few days, so we just did without internet ...

In the end, I recommend the mifi 2352/ Swisscom sim card to people traveling to Switzerland.
