Can't beat it for the price . This is a great, inexpensive switch. I bought this to replace our client's old unmanaged switch, and to add PoE capability for their new Panasonic VoIP phones. Easy to configure, with lots of options. My only complaint is that Amazon didn't note in the product description that only 12 of the 24 ports have PoE. I had to send this one back and get the 48 port model.

Great for VoIP Phones!!!! . We installed this switch for a client who purchased a Toshiba CIX 200 VoIP phone system from us... If using all 24 ports, the POE ports will produce 7.5 watts per port. The Toshiba IP phones use 6.1 watts per port. If using only 12 ports on the switch then the 15 watts per port. In our case the IP phones with consoles used only 6.7 watts. All in all great product for a reasonable price...

So, if you're planning on using the POE feature for more than 12 devices, you'll need a different model.

Cons Review
Windows Only (no OSX) . I just got off the phone with Cisco (800/326-7114) for their SLM-224P switch. I was told it only works with IE 5.5 or greater.
OSX's IE goes to 5.2.3 and stops (AFAIK).
They're right. It doesn't work. I asked why it's not advertised as Windows-only. No response.
This switch (and apparently many Cisco switches/products) are Windows-only but not advertised as such. Isn't that false advertising?
I have not actually _used_ this switch as I got past the login in screen, but the next screen is for all practical purposes blank. In other words, it just doesn't work with OSX... EVEN THOUGH it uses a web admin screen. (Yes, I know that sounds impossible, but it's true. Phone Cisco to find out yourself!)
FYI, I tried accessing it with the most up-to-date versions of Safari, Camino, Firefox. No "luck".
I even tried IE 5.2.3 (the last version on the Mac, I believe). Cisco requires IE 5.5 or greater.
