A great powered hub . So many time I plug my 1TB portable usb powered external hard drive into a computer and I have to use 2 usb plugs because one does not have enough juice. Well this hub gets and gives double power. It get signal and power from the usb header on the mother board AND has a molex hard drive power connector as well. I will power 4 usb external hard drives each with one plug all at the same time. Drives boot very fast too. The only thing that I did not like is the giant white lettering announcing that it is a 4 PORT USB HUB. So I took a the dremmel and scraped off all the white lettering so it is all black now. These usb ports have more power than the ones that are native to my Shuttle case. I love it and will buy one with every computer I have in the future because it works and it is reasonably priced.

Good basic solution . I ordered this to have some powered USB ports on the front of my computer, and for that purpose it does it's job well. All ports work with my USB powered devices at 2.0 speeds. The black finish looks good in my black case as well, although I'd like to eventually take off the white lettering on the front.
The installation, however, was the tricky point - this seems to be a little wider than some 3.5" drive bays. I tried a 5 1/4" to 3.5" drive bay adapter I already had installed, and it wouldn't fit. Same with the bottom 3.5" drive bay in my case, but I eventually got it squeezed into the top bay. I also couldn't ignore the cheap feeling of the part, although for $10 you get what you pay for.
In short, feels cheap, a tight squeeze for some drive bays/adapters, but it does its job - and as long as it does that, I'm happy.
