exactly as advertised . I bought it to extend to to extend the USB 3.0 ports of my laptop,with only 2 ports. After several days I found it was amazing.All my devices work with it perfectly. Currently I have a USB-powered hard drive, usb headset, usb num pad and a webcam all plugged in. They all work well and I am particularly impressed that the USB-powered hard drive did not complain about insufficient voltage. I would recommend this unit to a friend without reservation.
