Easy Audio . I needed to meet very specific standards for firewire audio applications and use of PreSonus and M-Audio gear. A single TI chipset, 32 bit, 400 1394a and OHCI 1.1 was recommended by both companies. After quite a bit of research I found that the SIIG Model: NN-400012-S8 met all requirements. I could not find any stores that carried it so ordered it through Amazon.
It arrived very quickly - 2 days. I installed very quickly, plug-n-play, no added drivers on a WIN XP3 PC. 15 minutes of cables and setting up gear, everything synced perfectly.

Works as it should . I needed this for the Presonus Firestudio Tube. Windows 7 automatically loaded the driver and it works perfectly. Completely transparent.

SIIG Firewire card (with Texas Instruments chipset!) . For anyone working with DAW's that need a firewire card expansion for hardware, I can safely say I've had no problems with this card. After much research, I learned that Texas Instruments chipsets are a must to avoid latency and communication issues. While this card is much more expensive than other options, I feel this card's pricetag is a small investment in exchange for peace of mind. Pop it in, and hit "record"!
