Rare combination of low price and good quality. . I did my research when I decided to buy a media player and after a month, I decided to try out the Anker NBOX. I must say, for $30 this gadget does it's job well. I was on a budget so while I wasn't expecting much, this compares to the $60 Western Digital one that my family has. It's user interface when you load it up is nothing spectacular or flashy but it's simple and easy to maneuver around. The NBOX plays all files except for .mkv and can play .srt and .sub files. The subtitles were extremely important for me and I know for many other people. For $30 it's hard to not like the NBOX. For $40, I'd still buy it.

n-box review . Product works reasonably well, I use it for viewing avi movies on a flash drive thru my tv. Seems to "hang-up", blank out and/or stop on occasion. When this happens the only option is to hard power off (disconnect power cord from unit) then restart. Has happened 3 times in the last few days, hope it does not mean trouble in the near future. It has only basic controls, but it serves the purpose at a very reasonable cost. Overall I am pleased with the n-box and, so far, would recommend it.

Good value. Great customer support. . I purchased this player for a cost effective way to play children's videos. Therefore, the ability to play HD content was not one of my criteria:
- cost effective - Yes
- variety of file playback - Good
After receiving the product, I thought it did not support component video output (despite the physical jacks on the back) because I could not get it to switch from composite output. After great customer support, I discovered it was my mistake for dismissing the ability after a failed attempt to switch output with the remote (my haste, my mistake).
Bottom line: This media player provides a cost effective way to playback a decent selection of video formats, with sufficient picture quality, and great customer support. Good value. Would recommend.
